This Privacy Disclosure outlines our information sharing practices so that you understand how we protect your privacy when we collect and use information about you, and the measures we take to safeguard that information. In this Privacy Disclosure, ColeTaylorBank may be referred to as "we," "our," "us," or one of our "affiliates."

The Information We Collect
We rely on many sources of information to help us understand and meet your financial needs. On occasion, we enter into agreements with other companies to provide services to us or to make additional products and services available to you.   • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies such as credit bureaus, including information relating to your credit worthiness; and
  • Information we receive from other sources, such as your employer and other third parties.

Why We Collect Information
ColeTaylorBank uses nonpublic personal information about you to:

  • Accurately identify you;
  • Protect and administer your records, accounts and funds;
  • Help us notify you of product enhancements and changes to products;
  • Save you time when you apply for additional products and services;and
  • Comply with certain federal and state laws and regulations.

Information We Share With Others
Types of Information Shared:

  • We are permitted under law to share nonpublic personal information obtained about you or your account as described above in The Information We Collect (such as your account balance and your payment history with us).
  • We also may share with our affiliates information we receive from you in applications, information obtained by your use of our products and services and information from credit reporting agencies.

Parties Who Receive Information
We are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to our affiliates and "nonaffiliated third parties" (i.e., third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in certain circumstances. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to:

  • Financial service providers, such as companies engaged in banking, credit cards, consumer finance, securities and insurance, in order to offer you a product or service or to service your loan or account;
  • Non-financial organizations such as companies engaged in direct marketing;
  • Others, such as governmental entities in response to subpoenas as well as governmental regulators and consumer reporting agencies.

We may disclose the information described above in The Information We Collect to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Former Customers
If you close your accounts with ColeTaylorBank, the information sharing policies and practices described in this Privacy Disclosure will still apply to you, as well as the opt out choices described below.

Information Security
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those who need to have that information to provide products or services to you. If we use other companies to provide products or services to you, we require that they keep the information we share with them safe and secure. We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in place that comply with federal requirements to store and secure information about you from unauthorized access, alteration and destruction.

Restricting Disclosure of Information About You
If you are comfortable with the way Cole Taylor Bank handles your information, no action is required. If you prefer that we only share with our affiliates information obtained from your transactions with us, but not share with our affiliates any information obtained about you from other sources, then you should complete the Opt Out Form and mail it to us.

If you choose to "opt out" of information sharing, it restricts the sharing of information with our affiliates; however, ColeTaylorBank is not prohibited from contacting you about additional products and services.
